Frederick J. Brown and the Milky Way
Chicago’s Adler Planetarium highlighted the importance of imagination and the intersection between art and science in a recent Google Arts and Culture online exhibition. This story features the collaboration between Brown and the Adler on the 1977 large scale painting, Milky Way.
Google Arts and Culture is an online platform that showcases images of artworks in partner museum collections.
The 1992 monumental Crucifixion triptych (72 x 361 in.) in the collection of the Strake Jesuit Museum in Houston, Texas was recently published in “Black Jesus Matters“ by Father John Christman in U.S. Catholic Magazine, February 2019 issue.
